Lewisburg 20×24 ft garage kit

Lewisburg garage kit provides maximum capacity with two floors of unobstructed storage area.

If you do not want to install an overhead garage door, check the wall instead of garage door opening box and receive wall framing and siding which closes in the opening.

Not a pole building! Built like your house with wall studs 16” on center.

Lewisburg garage kits are prep-for-vinyl-siding: you can include optional vinyl siding with your order, or buy vinyl siding locally.

Manufactured ‘I’ Joists provide a clear span for flexible storage on the lower level while providing additional storage space above. Manufactured ‘I’ Joists are straighter and stronger than dimensional lumber. Loft floor rated for 40 lbs. per square foot.

An optional stair package is available for convenient access to the loft area. The stairs are 42" wide to aid in carrying items to the loft area. Interior walls are included to enclose the stairway.

Foundation by owner.

The upper gables are pre-built in 4’ wide sections with the siding already applied. The gables are numbered so they can be re-assembled for a perfect fit. Please note that you will need to help unload the pre-built gable ends.

Using the 2nd floor loft area as a work platform makes installing the gables fast and easy.

The siding on the center panel is not cut, so you can install the window size of your choice.

The spacious 2nd floor area provides a clear span for maximum storage space with a generous 7’-8” height for headroom.

The 2×8 trusses are pre-cut for precise field assembly. Typical attic trusses only allow storage in the center, but our trusses provide a clear span for maximum storage.

The 2×8 trusses are pre-cut for precise field assembly. These trusses are Engineer Certified to withstand a 40 lbs/sf roof load and a wind load of 90 mph. Trusses can be upgraded to meet 130 mph wind load for most areas of Florida. Check option box above.

Building Specifications

Exterior walls …

Walls arrive K.D., field assembly required. Pre-cut wall studs are spaced 16” on center and the bottom plate is treated. Exterior siding is OSB (oriented stran board). Upper gable walls are shipped pre-built with siding applied. Walls are designed to meet international building codes of BOCA, IBC-IRC-2006 Edition. White pine trim is included for the gable trim, fascia, door trim and corner trim. Trim is unfinished, painting required. Includes nails.

Loft Floor …

Manufactured ‘I’ Joists spaced 16” o.c., covered with 3/4” tongue-and- groove Structurwood flooring. ‘I’ joists are shipped in one foot increments: field cut to exact length. Nails and metal bridging included.

Roof System …

Pre-cut 2×8 trusses, 24” o.c. covered with 7/16” OSB. See optional roof covering notes below.

Prepped for application of Vinyl siding ...

The Lewisburg is prep-for-vinyl siding. It includes OSB panels to which you attach vinyl siding. Purchase vinyl siding of your choice from a local home building center to match your home.

An optional 28” × 38” double-hung window comes in white finish with insulated glass and window grids between the glass for easy cleaning. Also includes a pair of vinyl raised panel paintable shutters.

Pre-cut stair stringers made from 1-3/4" thick laminated lumber. Pre-cut stair treads and kicker boards. Includes wall framing to enclose stairway.

Optional cupola …

Add the finishing touch with an attractive 30”×30”×51” roof cupola. Constructed from weather-resistant pre-finished polyethylene, this cupola not only beautifies but also improves air flow through the building. Mix or match base and roof cap colors. Includes weathervane in three design choices.
