Carriage house style doors add character to the Dover garage kit
This single car garage offers attractive carriage house doors which open outward providing an 8ft. x 7ft. opening. The Dover garage is a Do-it-Yourself kit constructed of the highest quality 2×4 framing. Available in 16ft., 20ft., and 24ft. lengths this 12ft. wide garage has room for your car and still allows for storage or tools or both.
Carriage house doors include a lockable door handle with keys. Choose optional windows and shutters or a walk-in door for additional light and access. During construction you choose the location of windows and door if purchased.
Finish your new garage with the paint color of your choosing, not included. Siding and trim are primed ready to paint. Shingles or metal roofing can be installed on this garage kit. Choose the style that matches your needs.
The Dover garage includes pressure treated bottom plates for construction on a cement slab. Optionally a sturdy-built wood floor can be purchased if a cement slab isn’t desired or required. Choose the wood floor after selecting the size of kit you with to purchase.

Once you receive your new building begin by unpacking the pre-cut framing, doors and hardware. You will also receive a detailed manual with step by step instructions. Each step is explained with clear instructions and detailed line art and has been developed with the novice builder in mind.

Primed 3/8″ wood siding, with vertical grooves, creates an attractive plank look.
Smart Panel, manufactured by Lousiana-Pacific, creates the visual beauty of real wood with the strength and
durability of an engineered product.
The siding is made from wood strands, pressed into a resin saturated substrate, superior to plywood.
A cedar texture is embossed into the substrate, free from knot holes and patches. Other features include:
- Primed, ready for paint color of your choice. Latex acrylic paint recommended.
- Treated with Composibor (from U.S. Borax) prevents fungal decay and insect damage.

Optional Windows
Single hung aluminum 18″ x 36″ windows provide light and ventilation. Lockable frames are durable and easy to operate. Screens limit birds and insects. Decorative raised panel shutters are included.
Decorative octagonal gable windows illuminate interiors, beautify exteriors.
Our trusses are engineered to handle severe snow load of 40 psf (pounds per square foot) and 120 mph wind loads.
For extra strength metal hurricane truss hangers are supplied to secure trusses to the exterior walls.

Optional Floor
Choose an optional Sturdy-Built wood floor for your new garage kit. Easy to construct and designed specifically for your building. This floor is designed for buildings incorporating an overhead garage door. A galvanized sill plate is provided with this floor system. The Sturdy-Build floor system comes standard with 3/4″ plywood flooring and 2×4 treated floor joists spaced 12″ o.c.. Floor is supported with 4×4 treated runners.
Nails are included. Material is not pre-cut. Floor sheathing is not treated. The floor package will be delivered by a local lumber supplier. Someone will need to receive/sign for delivery.

Below is information that your local permiting office may need prior to construction.
Please check with the permit office before purchasing.
Convenient home delivery is available anywhere in the lower 48 states.
This is called “curbside delivery” which will place the kit at the end of your driveway. It is not the driver’s responsibility to bring the product into your garage or yard. Drivers do not assist in unpacking or cleanup.
The freight carrier will call to schedule an appointment during normal business hours. Please provide a daytime phone number at check out. Someone will need to be present at the time of delivery. A signature is required.
Inspect the merchandise before the driver departs. If you notice any damage, make sure the driver indicates this on the delivery slip before you sign it.
